Through the preservation of flowers, which are often symbolic of femininity, delicateness and beauty, I challenged the objectification and notion that women are only meant to be fragile objects.

Terrorism is a word which everyone on Earth has become acquainted with in recent years. For two decades our laptops, phones, and television screens have been inundated with images of unimaginable violence and destruction, often tied to the amorphous group known as “terrorists”. Who classifies as a terrorist- and what actions are considered terrorism–is largely dependent upon not academic or legal definitions, but what the society in which the term is utilized considers an existential threat.
Asian hate has risen throughout the world, targeting mostly those of eastern origin. No one is safe as oppression fills the streets. A butcher stands on guard continuing his day to day work. His market stand, similar to others, forms a lack of sanitation. However, this is the least of our troubles because COVID-19 is our reality, our day to day life.
Pedestrians lining up and waiting to buy at the local market, as the environment around them waits for change. Hong Kong is known for their local markets however the poor sanitation and lack of hygiene is slowly deteriorating the planet.
Typically seen in Hong Kong alleyways, this site in North Point illustrates the growth of waste and consumption. Plastic covers are thrown over the clumps of products and waste, pushed to the side and not in mind.
As we continue to live on a dying planet, society needs to reflect and be aware of the consequences of our carbon footprints and actions.
